Choir
Since 1992 we have had a lovely school choir. We practice hymns in school.
Mrs. O'Connor teaches us new hymns every year.
We sing at mass in St. Brigid's church, Curraghboy on the first Sunday of every month.
We also sing at the pattern mass in July each year.
Sometimes we play percussion instruments to accompany the hymns.
Everyone wants a turn at this. We also learn Christmas carols.
One year we entertained the residents in "Tearmainn Bhride" our local nursing home.
Some children sing solo and others sing seconds to the hymns.
People say we sound lovely and this makes practice worthwhile.
